Great! But how much does a BROME composting system actually cost?
Because all our composting systems are made to measure, we won’t know what it will cost until we know what it is you will need. Managing organic waste isn’t a one-size-fits-all kind of deal, despite what you may have been told. We pride ourselves on taking a close look at your specific operations and making sure that the composting equipment we select for you helps improve your waste management operations and offers increased savings, or increased efficiency, or (ideally) both.
So, although it may be possible to give you a very approximate price range / ball park figure, it might not be that useful or accurate. We would really rather look at your specific needs and provide you with a precise analysis of how to best meet those needs. Once our analysis is done and your expectations are met, we will crunch numbers for you and provide you with a custom-made quote for a custom-made composting system.
So the answer to the question ‘but how much does a BROME composting system actually cost’ is another question: ‘what is it you actually need?’
Is composting for businesses complicated?
Whether you have an agricultural business, are in charge of quality control at a greenhouse, need to manage food waste or are exploring how to meet the upcoming requirements for the ban on organics from landfill for small municipalities, we can help create a composting system for those needs and guide you through the installation process and beyond.
The below infographic outlines the major steps from the start of your project all the way through to its operation.
To understand what you really need, we look at a number of factors such as:
- How much material do you have and what is it?
- How often do you currently collect and dispose of this material and is this frequency really ideal for you?
- How complex are your daily operations and how does managing organic waste fit into the overall picture of those operations?
We also take into account a number of other factors to make sure to get an accurate picture of your composting needs.
Ok…. That sounds complicated.
It might seem like a lot to go through. But it’s a lot less complicated than investing in costly equipment with all the bells and whistles only to install it and discover that what the equipment is supposed to do (on paper) doesn’t match up very well with your reality on the ground.
Shoes are not one-size-fits all, so why should your composting system be?
Put another way, ever tried to go hiking in shoes that just don’t quite fit? Your daily operations (and your company’s finances) don’t need those headaches (or blisters).
Here’s another analogy Paul, the President of Brome Compost is fond of:
“Imagine you’re looking into buying an oven. If you’re only cooking and baking for your family, you’re not going to invest in the same kind of equipment as someone who’s a professional baker with his own bakery!”
We would feel pretty silly recommending a composter and complimentary equipment to handle the organic waste of a small remote town of a 2,000 people if what you need is to manage cafeteria waste from the kitchens and the daily lunch and dinner meals made for 300 factory workers. See a selection of different BROME Compost projects across a variety of industries.
In fact, our expertise and tools make it easy for us to analyse your needs accurately. We go over your daily operations with you and guide you to understand which organic waste materials can be composted. We look to see where operations can be streamlined through the use of complimentary equipment such as conveyors, mixers, and shredders. And we work to meet your *real* composting needs with simple and easy to use equipment that is perfectly adapted for your farm, business, or community.
Remember: we are your composting partner throughout the whole process, from assessing your needs to getting your custom-build composting system up and running.
Facing unexpected challenges in your first few months of operation…? We’re there for that too.
